Thomas Winter, MD

Thomas Winter is a board certified Emergency Physician. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2007. He completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan where he was the Chief Resident, as well as the Resident Director of Student Education. He became an attending physician at Banner Desert/Cardon Children’s in 2010, and he has since become credentialed to provide Emergency Medicine around the Phoenix area for both adult and pediatric medical and trauma needs.

Dr. Winter has a special interest in teaching procedures, specifically critical care procedures with simple, hands-on approaches which the student can learn with ease. It was with this passion that he was inspired to co-found Emergency Medicine Education, LLC, and became the Director of Education. Dr. Winter is a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students, medical students from AT Still and Midwestern University, and is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Teaching Physician for the Maricopa Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency program.
